Established in 1995 by Editor Balvinder Singh Sanghera, runVT remains truly independent and is one of the longest-running post-production companies in the UK, and arguably the most diverse.
From humble beginnings, we have expanded to 40 on-site offline suites and 14 picture and audio finishing suites, across six sites in three regions, totalling over 16,000 sq ft. In 2024 we were named Broadcast Awards Best Post House Winner and Broadcast Best Places to Work in TV.
British born and of Sikh heritage, Bal often speaks of the sacrifices his parents made migrating from impoverished rural India in the 1950s, his struggles experiencing racism growing up in London's East-End and about getting a foot through the door in the media industry in the 80s. Bal’s core values and cultural beliefs have enabled runVT to remain distinctive and inviting, with a homely atmosphere and a genuine family feel.
We are passionate about nurturing outstanding talent, diversity and inclusion, and the international demographic of our team has always been warmly received by our clients.
We have a wealth of experience working on a wide range of true crime titles.
We've recently introduced a repeating meditation and mindfulness course, offered free to staff and clients. Our hope is that it may help them feel inspired and more equipped to navigate life’s complexities with enhanced peace of mind. We feel true crime producers might feel the benefit of our mindfulness course, given the potentially distressing subject matter and content.
